New Mercedes E-Class facelift to be launched in India in 2021. The company has said that it will release the facelifted E-Class in the Indian market in 2021, and according to a media report, that will happen in the first half of the year.

“The facelift is planned for 2021,” Santosh Iyer, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Mercedes-Benz (India), has said. That’s not surprising considering the fact that luxury car launches in India usually take place at least a year after they’re officially unveiled.
Responding to a viewer’s query during the live chat, Iyer added the E-class – which has been on sale in India since 2017 and has set a new benchmark in its segment – will only get a mid-life update next year, as India is the only market in the world to get a right-hand-drive, long-wheelbase, and the facelift was never part of the launch plan for 2020.
The car gets a redesigned grille and new headlamp units that have integrated LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the car gets new tail lights and a dual-tone bumper with chrome exhaust tips.
On the inside, the new facelift gets a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel with capacitive touch control, digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit.
In the international market, the new facelift will be available with petrol mild-hybrid and diesel plug-in hybrid powertrains. The car also comes with conventional petrol and diesel engine options.
How much the new E-class facelift cost
The facelifted E-class was revealed at the start of March this year. Expect the E-class facelift to sport a fair premium over the current model’s pricing, which ranges from Rs 59.07-75.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
