Mahindra Vision SXT concept exterior details

The SXT’s highlight feature, naturally, is its pickup bed-like rear section. The Vision SXT will compete in the C-segment SUV market, but this is an exceptionally non-traditional body style. It’s not a traditional pickup truck with a separate passenger area and cargo section, but combines both in one, fairly well-proportioned whole.

The SXT has a short, uncovered rear deck with roll bars and a narrow, rectangular panel for the tailgate for an open area. It’s quite snazzy with the strapped spare tyres, which are, of course, accessories. The design otherwise is very similar to the Vision T with its flared and sculpted wheel arches, off-road-spec, heavy-duty bumpers and clean surfacing on the door panels and the bonnet.

There are differences in the face, however. The grille has a different finish, with a glass enclosure for the lower section; the headlamps receive the same treatment too. This one also features an off-road-spec wheel design, clad in all-terrain tyres. Minor elements such as the exposed door hinges, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, bonnet latches, and hook points for roof carriers are shared by both concepts.
