Xiaomi will most likely launch the Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 laptop in India as it has received several certifications. The laptops could launch once the COVID-19 lockdown is lifted.
Xiaomi is all set to expand its presence in India at a rapid rate and after making itself felt in the smart TV and home appliance segments, the company is now looking to enter the laptop segment.
The cited source claims that this information comes straight from Xiaomi Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain. The tipster, Ishan Agarwal says that in an online meeting with retailers, Jain informed them that Mi/Redmi laptops will soon be launched in India.
In India, Xiaomi may not go for the high-end segments initially. The company is expected to announce its most affordable Xiaomi RedmiBook series of laptops.
The most affordable model in the lineup is a Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 that comes with a Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage. Of course, Xiaomi may be looking for a lower price to catch hold of the student group.
We already saw how Xiaomi undercut the entire smart TV market in India with relatively affordable 4K TVs and we don’t expect anything different in the laptop segment.
