EMPOWERING WOMEN, ENSURING SAFETY!

Today, women’s freedom and rights encompass the ability to make choices and live life on their own terms. It means, having equal access to education, employment, health care and political representation. Everyday there is atleast one news about harrasment or abuse against women. As well as the freedom to express oneself, make decision about one’s own body and live free from violence and harrasments. Day by day the fear of being a girl increasing in this society.

In India there are alot of cases related to women’s abuse. When we hear something and once it is happened the government is not even taking a proper action to the criminals. Only the victim and the family have the loss and its suffering.  Comparing to other countries  there are proper actions taken to the criminals who is doing all these kind of things.

The women in other countries are more safer than in India. They can walk alone, they can go shopping, they can go anywhere at any time of the day without any fear of being attacked. Where as in India, all are living with fear. The court is making the victims wait for their justice and also most of the cases will turn out to be uncleared.

The criminals are treated in the way we treat a popular or a high positioned person. They are living like a normal human being with all the freedom inside the jail. They don’t have any fear of being punished. The only the victim and family is suffering to move on with life.

In last week, there was an incident happened to a doctor in Lucknow, who was in duty. While she was taking rest in the hospital, no one knew that it was her last duty in her entire life. Even the incidents are taking place in the most safest places. Now, its unbelievable to know that there is no more safe place.

Likewise one incident happened in Delhi, we thought that it was the end, but unfortunately we all were wrong. There is not at all a single day that the women are being attacked.Their families too face significant challenges .Many experience trauma, financial instability and societal stigma.Family members many struggle to provide emotional support while grappling with their own feelings of helplessness.Overcoming these challenge requires strong support system, legal protection and access to mental health resources for victim and for their loved ones.
