Motorola is said to be prepping two budget phones to launch next year. These two phones have reportedly been spotted by their internal codenames Capri and Caprip (or Capri Plus). The Capri has model number “XT2127” and is said to be cheaper than the other than has the model number “XT2129.”
The report comes from TechnikNews in cooperation with XDA Developers’ Adam Conway. The collaborated report puts out the details of the two phones. The phone with the codename “Capri” is powered by Snapdragon 460 processor and has 4GB with 64GB storage. The screen size and type are unknown but the resolution is said to be HD+ (720×1600 pixels) and the refresh rate is 60Hz. It is said to be featuring a waterdrop-style notch on the display, which may carry an 8MP camera.
The sensor is called “s5k4h7,” this implies the sensor is from Samsung. On the back, there is going to be a 48MP main sensor together with a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens (gc02m1), and probably an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (s5k4h7). So, we may see four cameras on the back in total. The report states the phone supports dual SIM and NFC as well.
Coming to the second phone Capri Plus (Caprip), it is said to be coming with a 90Hz display with 128GB storage compared to the cheaper version. According to the report, there are two storage options – 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. It will also retain the HD+ resolution. The Capri Plus is also said to be having a 64MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor from Samsung, and a 2MP macro lens as well. The Capri Plus also supports dual SIM.
Currently, their marketing names are unknown but we believe we will hear about them sooner. According to the publication, these two phones will launch in Q1 2021.
