The company’s director revealed that all three models will be launched in the country in quick succession post the lockdown. The company will introduce the much-awaited Karoq SUV, Superb facelift, BSVI compliant Rapid TSI, and the Kodiaq facelift.
The Skoda Karoq, Rapid TSI, And Superb Facelift Launch
The launch of these models was delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown. While the Skoda Karoq, Rapid TSI, and Superb facelift will go on sale in the next 1-2 months, the Kodiaq facelift is expected to be launched during the festive season, before Diwali.
Skoda Karoq unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo, the Karoq will be the brand’s second SUV in India to be based on the MQB platform. The Skoda Karoq will be powered by a new BSVI compliant 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine that is capable of producing 148bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.
Power will be transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The full-size sedan receives some changes to its styling. It gets revised front and rear fascias.
The sedan Skoda Superb is powered by a new BSVI compliant 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder TSI engine that is capable of producing 187bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. A 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox will be offered as standard. It is likely to be priced around Rs 30 lakh.
