Xiaomi has quietly listed the Mi Watch Lite smartwatch on its global website. As perceived earlier through leaks, this new smartwatch is actually a rebadged Redmi Watch that the company launched last month for under $50 in China. So, the specifications remain the same as only the name has changed for the markets other than the Chinese.
The Mi Watch features a 1.4-inch color touchscreen with 320×320 pixels resolution. It supports over themed 120 watch faces. It includes 11 workout modes, including Treadmill, Outdoor Cycling, Outdoor running, Open water swimming, Freestyle, Pool swimming, Cricket, Trekking, Trail run, Walking, and Indoor cycling.
Xiaomi Mi Watch does track things like calories burned, step count, and more. You can view calls, texts, and app notifications. The watch alerts you to stay active as well.
Xiaomi claims Mi Watch also does heart rate monitoring 24 hours a day with the help of a PPG sensor. Mi Watch Lite also does sleep monitoring by analyzing your sleep pattern. It records sleep data such as deep sleep, light sleep, and sleep duration to help maintain good sleeping habits. It lets you do breathing exercises as well so that you can alleviate your stress levels anytime.
Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite has a 230mAh battery that offers up to 9 days of battery life. It can be charged 100% in just 2 hours. It is also ATM water resistance up to 50m
Android users need to install the Xiaomi Wear app to connect the watch, while iOS users will need the Xiaomi Wear Lite app in order to track their health data that Mi Watch Lite had gathered.
The Mi Watch Lite comes with five straps in Pink, Ivory, Black, Navy Blue, and Olive. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the price of the Mi Watch Lite. For comparison, the Redmi Watch was launched at CNY299 that translates to $45. So, expect the Mi Watch Lite to launch at a similar price tag.
