Xiaomi’s Mi QLED TV 4K 55 with HDR and Android 10 launched in India

Xiaomi is one of the prominent players in the Indian smart TV market. It made its mark by releasing value for money smart TVs that allowed people to enjoy the best of the features without stretching their budgets. It is now hoping to repeat the same in the premium smart TV segment with the launch of the first Xiaomi QLED smart TV in India.

Mi QLED TV 4K 55 Specifications

The Mi QLED TV 4K 55 is the model that has been announced today. It offers a 55-inch QLED panel with a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports 100% NTSC wide color gamut, 95% DCI-P3, HDR 10, HDR 10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision technologies.

It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT9611 processor with Mali G52 MP2 GPU. There is 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage for installing different apps and games. The smart TV runs Android 10 out of the box with a stock Android TV experience. But users can also choose to use Xiaomi’s PatchWall UI which makes it easier to browse content from different streaming services and Live TV without having to juggle among them.

In the audio department, Mi QLED TV 4K 55 offers 30W audio output with the help of six speakers. These include four full-range speakers and two tweeters to complete the setup. It further supports DTS-HD and Dolby Audio. The TV has Bluetooth 5.0, Chromecast, and dual-band Wi-Fi support for wireless connectivity. A wired connection can be established using any of the three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR receiver, and an optical audio port.

Xiaomi has priced the Mi QLED TV 4K 55 at INR 54,999 in India. It will go on sale starting December 21st via Mi.com, Amazon India, Vijay Sales, Mi Home, and other offline stores around the country.
